       But there are many Bible passages that show evolution to be false, outside of our text today in Genesis chapter 1. Let's look at what the Apostle John tell us in John chapter 1. He penned: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1-3, ESV). So, all things were made through Jesus, and not a thing was made outside of his control. Evolution therefore is not compatible. The Apostle Paul noted in Romans 4 that God is the one “who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist” (Romans 4:17, ESV). Evolution did not make things exist that hadn't existed beforehand, God did. Finally, the writer of Psalm 33 noted: “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host” (Psalm 33:6, ESV). So people and animals were made by him. With God, everything that he made he called “good.” Nothing that he created died.
