We can have full assurance of faith that no matter what comes into our lives, whether individually or collectively, as God will take care of us. We don’t have to worry about the world being destroyed by nuclear weapons because it’s not going to happen. How do we know that? Because God has told us the future in the Book of the Revelation. An astroid from outer-space is not going to destroy the earth, as that’s not part of God’s plan. And God will never destroy the earth again by a flood. He promises us this all the time with rainbows in the sky. Things like this we can be assured of. But is Ebola something that we really have to fear? Not if you're a Christian. We don't have to fear things like this because, as I just mentioned, we know God is always in control. We're not going to catch something outside of God's plan and without his knowledge. It may be in God's plan for some of us to get sick in our lives—with whatever illness it be. He may help us overcome that sickness, teaching us things about himself, or it could be our end. Recall what David said in Psalm 23: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me" (3-4, ESV).
