       Often God does not provide immediate punishment to people for the wrongs they do. And yet, he is keeping track of every wrong each individual does to be reckoned with in the future. Any person who does not have a payment for their wrongs done by Christ will in fact be guilty of all the wrongs they’ve done. Christ sacrifice on the cross for sin is the only acceptable payment to God for sin in the whole world. And so this leads to Satan’s deception toward individuals. He tries to convince people who believe the truth of the Gospel that they have plenty of time to give themselves to God. He tries to get them to put off accepting Christ’s sacrifice for them. He says, “You don’t have to worry about this right now. You’ve got plenty of time. You’re not gonna die anytime soon.” And so people become deceived, and they don’t give their lives over to God by accepting Jesus. They just kick the can down the road and decide that, even though they feel this is true, they’ll deal with it some other time.
