       The reality is, we don’t deserve anything in this life that we have. We all have sinned against God, and really deserve to be separated from him. But God sent Jesus into the world, and he died for our sins, rose again, and made us right with God. The Apostle Paul noted, “For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:6-8, ESV). God has give us the gift of his Son. Truly, everything that we have in life is a gift from God. We must learn to love ourselves so that we will want to keep improving ourselves, to improve our minds, so that we keep forging ahead. Remember, again, we are new creations in Christ. We have all that we need to make ourselves better. We have the Holy Spirit inside us, God himself, and his power will work through us if we allow it to.
