God is our life. His ways are the right ways. He owns it all, and everyone is subject to him. He holds everything together by all his power. As the psalmist David has said: “Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness” (Psalm 29:1, 2, ESV). So, to him belongs all the glory, all true glory, and that forever. Before we finish, there are two more words from Jesus for us to consider: “forever,” and “Amen.” Again, remember, to God there is no beginning, and there is no end. He is from everlasting to everlasting. His is the kingdom, the rule, the power, the ability and capability, and the glory, the awesomeness and praise. As the Lord Jesus Christ told us, in closing the Bible, he said: “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end” (Revelation 22:12, 13, ESV).
