“And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he [Jesus] was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they [the disciples] woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith” (Mark 4:37-40, ESV). Take this event from our Lord’s life as an illustration for your own. Whatever problem you are facing is the storm, but you can be like Jesus and be asleep inside the boat, trusting in God. And, you can cast your concern on God and let him rebuke your problem. And while you are waiting on him to do that, you need to have faith that everything is going to be good in the end, and that God knows what he is doing—that he has allowed your problem to come—and even though it is there, there is nothing to worry about because it will come to pass in due time. By exercising faith in our situation, we allow God to work on our behalf. Everything will be fine.
